Magic Sword is not new, but it is pivotal. Four years ago or so, I whipped this up for a puppetry CD. There was actually an entire book, as well. The book was titled “Puppets in Ministry” and the track title off of the disk was “Vincent’s Voice Workshop.” In the audio I took the listener through various types of voices they could do when recording a puppetry program for children. When I wrapped it up, I wrote a quick little sketch as an example to hear all the voices come together in a final product.
It dawned on me after creating this, that I could be getting back into the humor for humor’s sake, and I could be doing quite a bit of it on my own. I kept looking for a venue, trying to bring people together for projects, trying to find my voice again, but it wasn’t coming together. With this track, I realized that I could be my own venue – all the voices I was doing in Childrens Ministry were becoming voices that I could take beyond my local area, and my voice wasn’t just one voice, but many.
The following my be more historical than hysterical, but it is clever, and may one day be reworked into something even bigger:
