My iPhone Isn’t All It’s Cracked Up To Be
Wednesday, 10 March 2010 05:38
At least, not any more.
I’ve finally replaced my severely broken iPhone with a refurbished unit through my phone plan. I’m in the US, and have ATT. Yes, I know; I’m sorry as well. I literally had to wait for my contract to be up, so I could “upgrade” my phone with the exact same phone. There is no insurance, and there’s no allowance for simply replacing a broken unit without renewing your contract for another two years (at least, if you want a discount).
So, I finally can see the entire screen again, after three or four months of dealing with the phone that you are looking at below… Continue reading My iPhone Isn’t All It’s Cracked Up To Be
Can The iPad Pro Be Far Behind?
Wednesday, 3 February 2010 04:49
I promise, no more iPad stories – But I had a thought, and I think it’s spot on:
Us tech geeks and the more computer savvy are complaining about what the iPad doesn’t have – but we are failing to look at Apple’s entire lineup – both computer and phone.
For those of you who follow the doings of Mr. Jobs with great interest, and all things Apple as a hobby, you know there is a Pro version of just about everything – it’s the two main markets that Apple gears themselves to – the basic line, and the pro line: Continue reading Can The iPad Pro Be Far Behind?
IPad – Maybe I’m Wrong…
Thursday, 28 January 2010 09:18
Okay, I’m a Mac Fanboy. I want Steve Jobs every whim to be successful. I want his random thoughts to make oodles of money, so my Mac future is secure and filled with delight.
Unfortunately, I was not wowed by the iPad presentation. I was expecting, I don’t know, an extra special something. That feeling I had when he introduced the iPhone.
But that’s silly. He’s already introduced the iPhone. The new technology, and the new approach are already here. This is the natural progression. The iPad is not, as some would call it, a big iPod touch, but a bridge. Continue reading IPad – Maybe I’m Wrong…
Amazon, Get Moving!
Thursday, 28 January 2010 01:24
You know, now that the iPad secret is out – Amazon could really shore up it’s existing client base rather easily, in my opinion:
GET THAT STINKING MAC VERSION OF KINDLE OUT!
That would help me stem the cravings for that newest Apple product, and perhaps keep me from spending my hard earned iCash over at Barnes & Noble, Continue reading Amazon, Get Moving!
All Kidding Aside: The Glaring Omissions from the iPad
Wednesday, 27 January 2010 02:12
Yes, I joke around quite a bit. I consider that my job.
But, like many ‘folks around the world, I was listening to whatever bootleg feed I could find from “the announcement.” My hopes were high, and many of them were met.
In retrospect, however, I was left feeling that something was missing. Continue reading All Kidding Aside: The Glaring Omissions from the iPad
The Apple Tablet is the Second Coming!
Tuesday, 19 January 2010 05:25
The iTab, iSlate, iRead or the iFlat-Thingy; whatever you want to call it, will be the greatest thing since sliced bread.
In fact, I think it will actually slice bread. One of the many functions of this amazing, possibly forthcoming product that hasn’t been announced yet and may or may not be real. Continue reading The Apple Tablet is the Second Coming!
Confessions Of An iPhone Appoholic
Tuesday, 11 August 2009 06:59
Hello. My name is Vince, and I’m an appaholic.
Yes, I can admit that, now. I used to think I could control it – but now, I know better. I’ve faced myself in the mirror, and I can put my phone down when I do it.
It started off so simply… Continue reading Confessions Of An iPhone Appoholic
Canada Makes My iPhone Suck
Sunday, 2 August 2009 02:00
Things are tough for the business traveler – but even more so for the business traveler with an iPhone.
There I was in Canada, visiting from the US – and the thing was practically a brick. You know when AT&T actually warns you that traveling can cost you and your iPhone bunch of money, it must be expensive. Obviously, AT&T would love you to spend your hard-earned dollars – so I would take heed. Continue reading Canada Makes My iPhone Suck
I Mean It… Open Office
Monday, 21 July 2008 11:35
The following is a copy of my blog post from coachblog.com. CoachVille is my day job, and I actually do serious things over there from time to time…
Today’s Coach-Tech Minute centers around a product that technically doesn’t give Microsoft Office a run for it’s money – because it doesn’t actually cost anything – and, as Martha Stewart would say, that’s a good thing. Continue reading I Mean It… Open Office
Why My Mac Is Better Than Your Stinking PC
Wednesday, 25 June 2008 10:44
Look, I’m not going to beat around the bush here. There is absolutely no room for debate. Your PC sucks. It blows. It bites. You are losing a battle that you can’t win. You can’t sway me. My Mac eats your sniveling wannabe Pee Cee for lunch. Continue reading Why My Mac Is Better Than Your Stinking PC
